Role Summary
As a Business Development Executive at Adjacent Possible, you will spearhead the expansion of our patent risk assessment offerings across the North American market.
Your task will be to identify new business opportunities, forge robust relationships with potential clients, and position our innovative solutions to reshape the Venture Capital (VC) investment process.
Your strategic efforts will be crucial in transforming the VC ecosystem, promoting inclusivity, data-driven decision-making, and an objective approach to due diligence
Key Responsibilities
● Act as a subject matter expert in the field of patent risk assessment, understanding the industry’s demands and the value propositions for potential clients.
● Lead and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, negotiating and emphasizing the platform’s capabilities.
● Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to increase Adjacent Possible’s presence in North America.
● Identify, target, and engage prospective clients, including venture capital firms, investment groups, and corporate entities.
● Help create compelling sales collateral, campaigns, and events, and participate in industry
events and conferences to promote the platform’s capabilities.
● Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
● Stay informed about patent-related regulations, industry developments, and advancements in AI technology to adapt and refine business strategies as necessary.
● Collaborate with the product development team to offer valuable customer feedback and insights, driving the continuous improvement of our platform.
● Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
● Actively participate in team showcases and company-wide events, engaging with team members and ‘Nobodies’ via our collaboration tools.
Requirements
● You must be based in the United States and able to work directly with the executive teams based in Europe and the US.
● A proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the innovative technology and VC industry.
● Deep understanding of the VC landscape, investment processes, and intellectual property rights and management.
● You have an existing book of business contacts in the VC ecosystem who will take your call.
● Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
● Experience working with technology-driven products or services. Experience working with AI or technology-driven products is highly desirable.
● Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry or corporate events.
● The ability to self manage your calendar and meeting schedule, create meeting and presentation materials and successfully navigate Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and various project management and knowledge management platforms
● You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with multiple collaborators and teams. We promise you will never get bored
