We are seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to be the voice of Evalify, broadening our reach across investment communities and representing our platform. As our ambassador, you will leverage your extensive network and stellar communication skills to open doors, cultivate partnerships, and convey the immense value proposition of our patent risk assessment solution.

This senior leadership role requires strategic vision, executive presence online and in-person, and a passion for shaking up the status quo of VC investing. If you live at the intersection of business relationships and technology innovation, we welcome you to reshape the future with us.

The Business Lead will lead outbound and inbound sales efforts to drive the adoption of Evalify’s innovative patent risk assessment platform across the North American investment ecosystem. You will develop sales strategies, manage pipelines, create enablement materials, and work closely with the Business Development team to maximize revenue opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with VC firms, family offices, angel investor groups, accelerators, and broader startup/investment ecosystem players.
  • Help create compelling sales collateral, campaigns, and events, and participate in industry events and conferences to promote the platform’s capabilities.
  • Maintain an extensive network of contacts and spheres of influence within the investment world.
  • Identify, target, and engage prospective clients, including venture capital firms, investment groups, and corporate entities.
  • Represent Evalify by speaking at events, engaging online communities and publications, and elevating our brand position.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the field of patent risk assessment, understanding the industry’s demands and the value propositions for potential clients.
  • Lead and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, negotiating and emphasizing the platform’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to offer valuable customer feedback and insights, driving the continuous improvement of our platform.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Actively participate in team showcases and company-wide events, engaging with team members and ‘Nobodies’ via our collaboration tools.


Outbound Sales:

  • Develop and execute outbound sales playbooks, sequences, and campaigns.
  • Manage master target account list of prospective VC firm clients.
  • Own CRM pipeline creation and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
  • Support Business Development in targeted outreach via our Nobody Studios network.


Inbound Sales:

  • Manage inbound lead qualification, demos and closing of opportunities.
  • Create sales processes to maximize conversions from marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to address inbound requests and feedback.
  • Design sales retention strategies to maximize customer lifetime value.


Sales Enablement:

  • Develop sales playbooks, scripts, presentations, and proposal templates.
  • Generate data-driven sales reports to analyze pipeline and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify areas for sales process improvements and execution excellence.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform by providing valuable insights and feedback from clients.


Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management within the technology or VC industry.
  • Deep understanding of the VC landscape, investment processes, and intellectual property.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
  • Experience working with technology-driven products or services.
  • Experience working with AI or technology-driven products is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to attend industry events and meet with clients.
