I had dinner with Sheldon Adelson once. ~ 2000
He passed recently. I don’t know how many people know what an amazing success story he is and person he was.
When I met him, my first company had gone public and my CEO, while not a drinker or partier… was an accomplished gambler and worth over a billion $.
One night, the casino host came to us and said, Sheldon and his wife, Miriam, would like for you to join them for dinner. We did. The four of us had a delightful meal.
I feel privileged to have heard his perspective on unions, treating his employees right, conservative values; his wife (a Ph.D.) was equally fascinating.
One more step along the journey that made me, me.
