From the Director’s Desk: The Future of Health & Wellness Lies in Empowering You to Take Control of Your Health Journey

My Fellow (and Future) Nobodies and Health Warriors,

We are buzzing with excitement at Nobody Studios, and we’ve centered this month’s conversation on a theme that resonates deeply with all of us: Personal Empowerment and Individualized Medicine. Over the last decade, the Health and Wellness space has undergone a paradigm shift—from a one-size-fits-all approach to a patient-centered, individualized model. And you’re seeing it evolve right before your eyes with innovative technologies like genetic testing, epigenetic RNA sequencing, personalized supplementation and nutrition plans, and even individualized exercise and rehabilitation protocols.

The excitement is palpable because people are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Like other industries such as fashion, entertainment, and luxury, people are looking for something unique that fits exactly what they want and need to optimize their health. This month, we are looking at how this shift paves the way for empowering patients and people alike to take command of their personal health journeys.

The Power of Individualized Medicine

For far too long, healthcare was a monologue—a doctor spoke, and a patient listened. In my experience as a clinician, this trend still reigns true today… But it’s getting better over time.

“Doctor” is derived from the Latin root “docere,” which means “to teach,” and yet, how many doctors do you see actually teaching and educating their patients on how to live a healthier life? Sadly, it’s far, few, and in-between.

The current medical system isn’t set up to allow providers to genuinely educate their patients how to live longer, especially since they usually only have an average of 8-12 minutes to take a history, ask questions, do an examination, provide a diagnosis, formulate a treatment plan, and at some point, build a trusting relationship with the person in front of them. Combine that with extended wait times of days, weeks, and, in many cases, months to even see a doctor, and you’re in a situation where people are stuck in a system that is inherently set up for failure.

Luckily, patients are demanding more from the system, and we believe it has no choice but to evolve.

Today, thanks to breakthroughs in genomics, wearable technology, and AI, healthcare is becoming a two-way dialogue. Individualized medicine empowers us with choices we never knew we had. The medication you take, the lifestyle changes you make, and even the type of therapy you undergo can now be tailored to fit your unique genetic makeup and life circumstances. As providers, we need to meet people where they’re at. It benefits all parties.

The question is: How do we at Nobody Studios fit into this evolving narrative?

Your Personal Health Allies

Our commitment to individualized medicine is steadfast. Whether it’s creating apps that help you manage your mental well-being based on your mood patterns or wearables that give you real-time data on your physiological functions, we are here to support you. Our latest project, Patient Prep AI, mentioned in last month’s newsletter

(Start the chat by texting the number (+1-888-507-8368) (Sorry, must be US based for now!) with the symptoms that you’re dealing with. Describe any symptoms you have to get questions to ask your doctor… The chatbot will never ask you for personally identifiable information and has been set never to provide a diagnosis, so use this at your own discretion.), is a cornerstone experiment in providing the type of personalized guidance that can change how you interact with healthcare providers, arming you with the right questions and crucial information to make sure you’re informed about your care at your next doctor’s visit.

We’ve also got some exciting movement in the wearable health space! We’re a few weeks away from pitching another Newco in our portfolio, Sleep Glide, to form strategic partnerships with the major wearables on the market today (Oura, Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit/Google Fit, Whoop Band, etc.).

Sleep Glide is the first proprietary predictive software capable of guiding the user to accurately time sleep onset for optimal sleep quality. It’s based on the research of Dr. Gina Poe, Ph.D., a sleep neuroscientist at UCLA who has spent the last 20+ years doing research in the sleep space (Check out her recent interview on the popular Andrew Huberman Podcast). Combined together with her brilliance and our Frugressive process of company creation at Nobody Studios, our predictive algorithm can use real-time feedback metrics to give users individualized insights into their health.

For us, actions speak louder than words, which is why we’re keen on building companies that are focused on providing value to patients and people who need it the most.

Turning Data into Power

One of our key goals at Nobody Studios is to make you the steward of your own health data. Traditional health systems have hoarded patient data, making it cumbersome for you to take an active role in your healthcare journey. They know that the more data they possess, the more value they keep to themselves. And if your records are kept in their possession, they know you’re more likely to come back to them for care, even if that care isn’t what you want or need.

In most cases, hospitals will even charge you money to send your records elsewhere!

Have you ever wondered why hospital systems make sending your records to another clinic so cumbersome? Now you know why…

Don’t get us started on the discrepancies between the pricing of identical procedures, even within a city or individual hospital system…

We’re currently working on ideating how to provide secure, blockchain-based healthcare systems that store your medical data safely and enable you to share it selectively and purposefully. Fortunately, we have the brilliant minds Zack Pyzer and Jeremy Shankle of Library Labs (a Nobody Studios Web 3.0 portfolio company) to help us make this happen!

Empowered with your own data, you’re no longer just a patient; you’re an active participant and an informed consumer with the power to decide your future.

The Community Strength

While our technological projects are impressive, we believe our community support is irreplaceable. Our global network of Nobodies is not just an audience; it’s a resource. And for those of you who became investors in our crowdfunding round, be on the lookout for outreach from Kyle Kane and PK Naidoo in our marketing department! They want to hear from you, and more importantly, we all want to know if you would like to become involved in helping us build people-first companies.

Whoever said “business isn’t personal” clearly didn’t understand business because it has been (and always will be) about people and relationships. The relationships we continue to create will be why we find success in the long run, which is why we’re so focused on making sure we allow each person to have a seat at the table if they’re interested.

Humans are social creatures. And when that social connection component is taken away, we lose a part of us that makes us human. It’s why human connection is so essential for success and longevity. We know our crowd-infused approach will separate us from the rest.

We hope you’re as excited as we are about getting involved in future projects to help change how we deliver healthcare and optimize Health and Wellness globally!

The Future is Personal

Our future projects are brimming with personalized offerings, from AI-driven mental health solutions and chatbots to forming strategic partnerships with companies capable of microbiome analysis for targeted nutrition. We’re not only focusing on making technology more adaptable to individual needs but also making sure that it is accessible to diverse demographics. Health and Wellness should not be a privilege but a right; We are committed to making that a reality.

As we continue to roll out new ideas, experiments, and Newcos, you will start to see this landscape quickly change. Things we know today may be disproven tomorrow. Standards of care may change. And current leaders in an industry may fail. But one thing is for sure… We will never stop working towards a better future for you and your health.

Health and Wellness is at the core of what we believe in at Nobody Studios. And it’s why we’re so passionate about reaching out and building our network to turn our ideas into enterprises.

So Why Choose Nobody Studios?
